From the outside, the "Haus der Wirtschaft" actually looks quite simple. Straight lines. Dark brown. Clinker brick. In front of it lies a small, well-maintained park that is still growing. Behind the sliding glass doors, however, a whole new world begins, where thousands of details come together to form an aesthetic work of art.
“Bringing nature indoors” was the goal that the architectural duo Christine Frey and Stefan Sick achieved with custom-mixed colors, living walls, and a diverse mix of materials. The result is a unique place of well-being for companies, their employees, and visitors.
In the entrance area, slim SLOTLIGHT light lines between the ceiling elements provide pleasant ambient lighting. Thanks to individually controllable lighting groups and pre-programmed scenes, the lighting atmosphere can be changed at the touch of a button—for example, for a cozy after-work gathering.
The upper floors of the building follow a modern open-office concept in which work and leisure blend seamlessly. The spacious office landscapes are thus punctuated by cozy breakout areas. A particular highlight are the meeting rooms, each of which interior designer Christine Frey has given its own unique theme.
The lighting was tasked with supporting both the architecture and the employees in the best possible way. This was achieved, for example, with light lines that can be seamlessly integrated into virtually any environment. In the office spaces, the choice fell on the LINETIK floor lamp, which made it possible to achieve bright, code-compliant workplace lighting despite the dark ceilings and materials. In addition, a whole range of custom luminaires was installed. In addition to custom colors, particularly powerful and low-beam spotlights were used in the peripheral areas, for example.
