What if I need to use cables longer than 300 metres? Will the emCON controller still work?
The emCON controller supports three different DALI circuits. Each DALI circuit is limited to 300 metres by default, provided a minimum wiring cross-section of 1.5 mm² is used. If 300 metres is not sufficient for your project, the DALI circuit can be extended to a maximum of 600 metres using the ONLITE local EXTENDER (article number 22156830) for flexibility and reliability in larger installations.
What are the system boundaries for the emCON controller?
An emCON controller supports up to 192 luminaires, divided into three different DALI circuits (3 x 64 DALI emergency luminaires). For more extensive installations, use the emLINK software to connect up to 200 emCON controllers.
