The intelligent central power supply system
ONLITE central CPS guarantees a custom solution for every project. With its modular architecture, you can configure the system precisely to achieve the right level of functionality for your investment. If there is a power failure, the system automatically switches to battery operation, guaranteeing safety. Standard DALI luminaires can be integrated as safety luminaires without additional modules — thanks to the DALI standard. The electronic logbook records all system statuses.
ONLITE central CPS – Trust when it matters
When it comes to safety, every second and every detail matters... and every light. ONLITE central CPS is more than a power supply system: it is your reassurance that everything is working as it should. Documented, fully automated tests and intuitive touchscreen control mean that you as a professional always maintain an overview, control and security — with flexible adaptation to your project.
This central battery system is effective in public and commercial buildings alike. The modular system reliably provides emergency lighting for medium and large facilities, combining innovative DALI-based solutions with maximum efficiency.
Can an ONLITE central CPS be used as an emergency power supply system (LPS)?
The ONLITE central CPS can indeed be used as a Low Power Supply (LPS) in accordance with EN 50171. The maximum permissible DC power may not be exceeded during emergency operation. Specifically, this means 1500 watts for an operating time of one hour and a maximum of 500 watts for three hours of operation. As long as this performance limit is adhered to, the system is officially recognised as a low power supply system (LPS). This is an attractive and standard-compliant solution, particularly in smaller or specialist applications where a reduced emergency power supply is enough. The flexibility of the CPS provides a functional and compliant application, without the need for a separate LPS system.
How does the individual luminaire monitoring work with the ONLITE central CPS?
Monitoring is conducted via the DALI standard, for which you require a 5-pole cable (L/N/PE/DA/DA) in the final circuit. This central power supply allows you to connect all ECD luminaires for precise individual luminaire monitoring.
What is the maximum number of emergency luminaires that the central battery system supports?
The ONLITE central CPS works without power limitations and can theoretically supply up to 6000 emergency luminaires. However, for an optimal emergency lighting system, we recommend installing a second CPS if using more than approximately 600 luminaires to enhance operational reliability.
What possibilities does web-based system networking offer?
The ONLITE central CPS features an intuitive web browser-based user interface, which displays the system status clearly for you. The electronic logbook, as required by standards, can be easily viewed and downloaded.
Does the ONLITE central CPS support dimming in line with the level of daylight?
With the ONLITE central CPS, you can not only switch but also dim the safety lighting via the DALI IN input. Please note: This function must be specified when placing an order.
What connection capacity does a single circuit in the central power supply system offer?
One circuit in the ONLITE central CPS can accommodate up to 20 luminaires. The maximum power per circuit is 1300 W in AC and DC operation.
