Smart, sensor-based lighting solutions have long since found their way into purely functional areas such as car parks. This is hardly surprising, given that, in addition to reducing energy costs, they offer two key advantages: optimum visibility and enhanced safety. Special functions, such as the corridor function, allow different dimming levels to be defined for individual zones, times and uses. This ensures that the car park is optimally lit at all times without wasting energy unnecessarily.
The sensors are already integrated into Zumtobel’s complete luminaires. Stand-alone battery-powered luminaires for emergency lighting can be added as an option. Thanks to the direct connection to 230 V mains supply, simple installation and commissioning, outdated lighting can be replaced in no time at all.

Gundeli car park shines in a new light
To ensure that car parks appear welcoming and safe, a contemporary lighting concept is required that is not only practical and efficient but also ensures comfort. Zumtobel successfully combined these aspects as part of a modernisation project for the Swiss property company Wincasa in the car park at Gundeli Park in Basel. Sustainability was the guiding principle for this project – both in the business relationship and in the installation.
